Wales Darby proudly represented electrification solutions including product from Spacepak, Fujitsu, A.O. Smith and VEXO at the 2023 New York Build Expo held at the Jacob Javits Center on March 8-9. Our high-efficiency, low-energy consumption split terminal heat pumps (STHP), hydronic filtration solutions and hybrid electric water heaters suit many applications and help your project meet NYC Local Law 97 regulations.
Many engineers, architects, contractors, building owners and other industry professionals loved our working Fujitsu AIRSTAGE STHP display, which helped to spur productive discussions on how Wales Darby can help with their next project. Wales Darby experts Steve Poli, Chris Crean, Brendan Casey and Rick Koester were on hand to discuss our high-quality product lines, and ways to ensure that your project is highly efficient and meets new building requirements.

Fujitsu's Split Terminal Heat Pump (STHP) has won yet another award. The high-efficiency, PTAC alternative took third place in Plumbing & Mechanical Engineer’s Top Products of 2022 roundup.
Feature 3 | February 2023 | Plumbing & Mechanical Engineer (pmengineer.com)
Each year, PM Engineer editors receive thousands of product releases from industry manufacturers. The 20 products highlighted have earned the distinction of being PM Engineer’s Top Products of 2022 based on the number of page views on www.pmengineer.com. Also notable is that the STHP placed first in the list of Mini-Split and other Air Source Heat Pump ASHP comfort systems, even placing above the first VRF system! Even more exceptional to us, is that the STHP placed high-marks in a “wet side” based publication.
Fujitsu might need a larger award case at HQ soon as the PME distinction will accompany their Silver Dealer Design Award from The ACHR News and the Finalist spot on the AHR Innovation Awards.
We congratulate our partner Fujitsu General America on the work they've done to bring national acclaim to their new product the STHP.
The white paper found here details the benefits, when compared to PTACS, of higher energy efficiency, lower noise levels, and more comfortable air distribution.
Fujitsu Split Terminal Heat Pump (STHP) is a state-of-the-art PTAC alternative. It is a high efficiency minisplit type system that is designed both for retrofit in existing installations and for new construction. It consists of a wall mount indoor fan coil and an outdoor compressor unit mounted in a sleeve in the exterior wall. The physical size is the same as a PTAC, so the compressor unit fits perfectly in a 42" wide PTAC opening. Since the STHP from Fujitsu uses advanced inverter compressor technology, it has many advantages compared to legacy PTACs.
