Richard gained partnership and controlling interest of the company that came to be known as Wales Darby. Representation of Taco began.

First New York office with a warehouse. Hicksville, NY. Richard’s son, Brian, joined the New York team.
The office in Hicksville was quickly outgrown. Richard made the decision to build a new, and larger facility in Ronkonkoma, NY.
At almost the same time, the New Jersey operations required an upgrade and relocated to Warren, NJ.
Wales Darby entered the plumbing side of the business with representation of A.O. Smith.
New York operations relocated to a larger sized office and warehouse in Islandia, NY. This facility is home to the company’s Headquarters today.
