Wales-Darby is a leading Manufacturer’s Representative of HVAC equipment in the greater New York/New Jersey area. The company has been in business for over 45 years with offices located in Long Island, NY, Warren, NJ and Philadelphia, PA. We are currently seeking a Sales professional to join our team based in the Warren, NJ location.
Location
Northern NJ and Southern NY
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow assigned accounts throughout territory.
- Identify prospective customers, lead generation and complete conversion. Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs.
- Be knowledgeable of the company’s residential plumbing, heating and HVAC products.
- Attend local industry events and tradeshows.
- Regularly report to the VP of Distribution Sales on account activity and provide feedback for go-to-market strategy.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated, energetic, self-starter with strong problem solving skills.
- Multi-tasking, attention to detail and strong follow-up skills a must.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to absorb technical knowledge and demonstrate technical expertise.
- Ability to drive sales of key products at contractor and distributor levels based on relationships, familiarity with products and competition.
- Rapport/trust building skills.
- Comfortable working in a team or individual environment.
- Strong prospecting/opportunity skills.
Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements
- 5+ years in a technical sales role. HVAC &/or plumbing industry preferred.
- Proven sales track record.
- BA or BS degree
